Srinagar, Sept 04, Omar Abdullah, the Vice President of the National Conference (NC) and former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, has made a significant gesture in his recent campaign for the upcoming assembly elections. While addressing the public in Ganderbal, he removed his cap and spoke in the Kashmiri language for the first time, appealing to the people for their votes. He emphasized that his honor is now in the hands of the voters and urged them to give him a chance to serve them.
Omar also criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for allegedly trying to manipulate the elections by supporting independent candidates. Additionally, he took a dig at former MLA Ishfaq Jabbar, accusing him of failing to meet the expectations of the party and the people after winning the 2014 elections on an NC ticket. Omar highlighted that he is contesting from Ganderbal after a 16-year gap and hopes to serve the people of the constituency once again.
